We need to be able to prove the voice of the spirits. Many spirits will come and try to distract us from hearing the voice of God, but if we are tuning ourselves with God’s Word (The Bible) then we will be able to see whether it is God or Satan speaking.

God has created the world and seemingly the only part of His creation to forget who He is are the only ones with the choice to do so. We as humans get so distracted by the things of this life we do not allow the voice of God to speak into our lives. It is very clear that those who truly follow God will recognize the voice of God and will follow it.

God is speaking to us every day and is wanting us to listen to what He has to say. We must let go of our distractions and allow God to speak into our lives.

The noises we allow to filter into our minds may not be necessarily evil, but could hinder you from hearing God’s message for you that day. God also could use that noise to speak to you although we do need to have our own quiet time with Him. We definitely need to watch what we allow to filter into our minds to be sure that it meets the Philippians 4:8 standard.

God uses people whether by word or song or His own voice in His own quiet way. As His children our ears should be tuned for our Father’s voice and long for the fellowship with Him that we longed for with our own parents. In understanding our father’s voice we need to try the spirits for they are not all of God.

Satan is like an illegitimate father who would stop at nothing to kidnap us from our real father. He will send us sweet sounding messages that will tempt us to follow him but if we test the voices coming at us we will prove whether it is of God or not.

When God speaks, the inner man or inner soul gets fed. God’s voice speaks correction, affirmation, ownership, and comfort to His children. He wants all His children to feel loved by Him.

God speaks peace into our soul especially when we wonder if things are spinning out of control. We can have hope in knowing that God has our lives planned and nothing is a surprise to Him.
