Pinning Our Nation's Hopes On An Elected Savior

Every election, voters take stock as to where we are as a nation.

Many voters see the nation as being worse off since the previous election and are looking for a savior to dig us out of a hole. Unfortunately, when we pin our hopes on an elected official, we will be let down.

We will become emotionally charged, operate in fear and will destroy friendships for our perceived right when we place our hopes for a better world on a human savior.

Since time began, mankind has succeeded in destroying many semblances of integrity, and distrust has risen from the ashes to become a monster that preys on the good. This has become a "dog eat dog world", where power is abused and respect has been displaced.

Whether a "conservative" or "liberal" candidate gets elected to any office, it becomes a mute point. There is no Savior outside of Jesus Christ, and through Him, and Him alone will this nation be turned from its past failures.

We need to take responsibility for our actions and turn from our failures and the things we do that create the atmosphere for them.

So, whether you vote or don't vote; remember that God has a plan for bringing humanity hope, and that hope is is Jesus Christ!
