To those who are depressed, or are languishing in despair... I've been thinking about you and you are not alone.

- Taken and paraphrased from various parts of scripture -

Amidst the trials that shadow my days, tears are my steadfast companions.

My soul, like sour wine, spills forth its sorrow.

Oh, how I long for an uplifted spirit, a quieting of the inner tempest.

The pain, an unceasing geyser, engulfs me.

How I wish for someone to lean on, to extract the sword lodged within my bones.

When the adversary questions, "Where is your help?" It is near, even when veiled from sight.

Despite my soul's anguish, I shall sing praises to the One who kindles my countenance.

Through valleys of darkness and the abyss of suffering, even unto the brink of death, I hold to your promise of unwavering presence.

In the face of those who have turned, you sustain me and bestow upon me a radiant visage.

Not promised riches, no, but your presence, a sweeter solace than all, for life is void without you, and your presence is my greatest wealth.

Lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” - Jesus
