Easter

Darkness fell upon the earth as the Son of God was laid to rest in the garden tomb. The Prince of Peace though dead to the world was yet very much alive in spirit as He descended into hell to take the keys of death away from the usurper, and to reveal Himself to the deceased saints leading them free from its clutches. As His body lay entombed beneath the surface of the earth, and guards kept their watch nearby; Life began to swell once again within His body. The time had come to declare Himself victorious over sin, and death. Now alive, He sprang from His tomb leaving it empty and open for all to see. The plan of redemption though completed through His death and resurrection was now available to take hold in the hearts of His followers bearing fruit.
