And God Said…
Every time God says something, we as people, who have been given a choice are faced with the following questions.
Did God say that?
Did God mean that?
How should I respond?
God created the world by His spoken word, but through unbelief in who God is and belief in someone other than Him, yes even reaching toward the modern view of evolution, we have doubted his spoken word that created it as well as His written word that tells about it.
God said the two greatest commandments are Love Him with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength; and your neighbor as yourself. Yet religious christianity has questioned the voice of God by elevating man’s laws to be viewed as more essential for belief than God’s own words.
Self published righteousness as defined by your own interpretation is touted as both godly and self saving. This is a sham…
Are you waiting on the voice of God in your life? Are you walking in what you already know He has said?
If you add to or take away from what God has said, according to the end of The Revelation of Jesus Christ, the plagues that are written about in the book will be added to you…
So, what are some things we know God has said?
Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
Do not covet
Do not steal
Do not commit adultery
Honor your father and mother
Do not kill
Forgive
Don't hate your brother.
Love God with all your heart
Love your neighbor as yourself
Honor your parents.
His followers will be known by their love.
Esteem others better than yourself
Submit to each other as brothers & sisters in Christ.
Redeem the time
Make disciples of all mankind
Abhor evil
Vengeance is mine, I will repay.
If your enemy is hungry or thirsty, give him to eat or drink.
Humble yourself in the sight of the Lord, and He shall lift you up.
Be still and know that I am God.
I am.
It is finished
How does what God has said affect us. Does it make a difference in how we respond to situations? Are you choosing to align yourself with what God has said or are you walking away from God’s design for you?
Think about it...
